1st Scandinavian neoLaser treatments
22 May, 2016
The very first Scandinavian stapedotomies and treatment of epistaxis in patients with hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) using the neoLaser system was successfully performed in Oslo, Norway. The 980 nm Diode laser was used to e.g. cut the posterior and anterior crus, to cut the Stapedius Tendon, to make a single shot hole in the footplate and 360 degrees closure of an Eclipse Nitinol stapes implant by Grace Medical. In addition a patient suffering from HHT, with recurrent and spontaneous epistaxis was treated using non-contact coagulation with the neoLaser during nasal endoscopy. Very inspiring session.
